Tapping Managed Services to Deliver a Consistent Communications Experience for Staff

Queensland Urban Utilities took advantage of imei’s managed services to maximise the value of its modern communications technology infrastructure, helping deliver a consistent communications experience for staff no matter where they were located or what device they used.

Challenge

With the constantly changing communications landscape, the statutory authority believed it more efficient to find external support than to build internal infrastructure knowledge across its varied ICT infrastructure and communications platforms, including Telstra IP Telephony (TIPT). QUU also perceived that its TIPT instance was not optimally configured to serve its growing needs.

 

Requirements

Having a long-established and successful relationship with imei for managed mobility requirements, the team at QUU reached out to imei seeking assistance with regaining control of TIPT.

Solution

Using the imei Intelligence service, imei performed a TIPT audit and identified the best way forward by demonstrating the value of imei’s Managed Services for TIPT, and Enterprise Mobility Management.

Outcome

Utilising imei’s Managed Services, QUU has optimised its communications landscape and reduced costs, while strengthening its communications infrastructure for all staff. These services have allowed the statutory authority to optimise the setup of its telecommunications infrastructure to regain visibility and put stronger commercial management controls in place.
