Leading healthcare company Healius switched to Telstra IP Telephony (TIPT), gaining an all-in-one cloud communications and collaboration solution, while negating the disruption caused by the phase out of ISDN copper services.
To support the teams of medical professionals that work in its centres, Healius is responsible for managing and maintaining the technology infrastructure that helps the medical professionals to care for patients.
Operating disparate telephony infrastructure across its medical centre estate was becoming increasingly complex to manage and maintain. This resulted in the organisation’s clinics being susceptible to outages and downtime.
To free Healius’ IT resources from this workload, imei was appointed to design, stage, configure, and deploy connectivity for TIPT across the company’s medical centre estate nationwide. The deployment encompassed 1,200 endpoints over 75 sites across the nation.
As a Cloud-hosted system, TIPT minimises Healius’ on-site technology footprint, providing a standardised solution that simplifies its technology landscape and eliminates the need to manage multiple technologies.
In one move, adopting TPIT as its all-in-one telephony solution, Healius also mitigates the business risk around the phasing out of ISDN and PSTNS.
One of Australia's leading healthcare companies, Healius provides quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare for all Australians from its network of pathology laboratories, diagnostic imaging centres, day hospitals, and IVF clinics. Offering specialty diagnostic services to consumers and their referring practitioners, Healius also supports independent healthcare professionals in the delivery of care in its centres, day hospitals, and fertility clinics.
